Come experience a magical safari retreat at Bushlands Game Lodge where the wild run free. Set within 300 acres of bush and game and 300,000 acres of National Parks.
Designed to blend seamlessly with its surrounds, the lodge exudes a magnificent ambience of a naturally unspoilt environment.
Bushlands offers fully air-conditioned, en-suite accommodation connected by raised wooden walkways which lead to the main dining room, bar, swimming pool and boma. Self-catering options are also available, and include braai facilities.
Game such as giraffe, warthog, nyala, impala, wildebeest and many other animals and birds can be seen at Bushlands Game Lodge’. Animals are often found wandering free through the property whilst guests are enjoying a scrumptious breakfast or romantic dinner amidst a moon-lit night and amazing stars.
Exciting Game Drives into the nearby game reserves where the Big 5 can be seen are arranged on request.
At Bushlands, atmosphere is everything, and resident chefs are renowned for preparing mouth-watering venison dishes, after which guests can enjoy a relaxing retreat in the boma where a fire and friendly atmosphere awaits.
Bushlands Game Lodge boast a 3-star rating by the Tourism Grading Council.

Directions
Directions from Johannesburg:
Travel from Johannesburg to Ermelo.
Follow the N2 South from Ermelo.
Travel past Piet Retief, Pongola and Mkuze towards Hlluhluwe.
±10km after the Hluhluwe turnoff on the N2 you will see a brown sign indicating a turn off to Bushlands.
Take the turn off and turn left. Follow this road and you will pass the Dumazulu Kraal entrance on your left hand side.
Continue on dirt road to the T-junction and turn left, the DumaZulu Lodge entrance will be on your left approximately 500 meters from the junction.
Continue on this road until you see the “Bushlands” sign. (± two and a half kms)
Turn right and cross over the railway line.
Follow the dirt road until you see the Bushlands Game Lodge entrance on your left hand side.The journey takes approximately 6 hours.
Directions from Durban:
Follow the N2 North from Durban
Travel past Stanger, Gingindlovu, Richards Bay and Kwambonambi
+- 40 Km after Mtubatuba you will see a sign indicating a turn off to Bushlands/DumaZulu
Take the turn off and turn right over N2 freeway. Follow this road and you will pass the DumaZulu Kraal entrance on your left hand side
Continue on dirt road to the T junction and turn left, the DumaZulu Lodge entrance will be on your left approximately 500 meters from the junction.
Continue on this road until you see the “Bushlands” sign (+- two and a half kms)
Turn right and cross over the railway line
Follow the dirt road until you see the Bushlands Game Lodge entrance on your left hand side.
