Kloppenheim Country Estate is the ideal country retreat for business and leisure in the heart of the Highlands Meander, near Machadodorp and Dullstroom and just 2 hours from OR Thambo International Airport.
With 14 twin lakeside suites, 20 gorgeous twin estate rooms and 10 elegant 2 bedroomed self-contained lodges, each beautifully appointed room has a magnificent view of the rolling hills.
There are 3 stylish conference rooms, large theatre for events, dining room, private dining room, breakfast terrace, colonial style lounge, library, pub and restaurant, wine cellar, wellness centre. The energetic can enjoy 6 trout dams, horse riding, hiking trails, tennis, bowls, archery and swimming.
Kloppenheim offers the discerning visitor a range of accommodation options, from luxury lakeside suites, twin hotel rooms and two-bedroomed self-contained lodges.
Kloppenheim will spoil you with culinary delights from sumptuous breakfasts served in the enclosed terrace to four-course dinners served in The Three Twigs, 60 seater dining room - or private function room for something more intimate.
Light meals are available in the Teddy and Tankard pub, adjacent to the wine cellar, where some of the best local and international wines and ports can be sampled.

Directions
Country Estate is situated near Machadodorp in Mpumalanga, South Africa and is approximately 250km from Johannesburg. It is off the N4 en route to Nelspruit and the Kruger National Park. It is the perfect country retreat for leisure or business, as it is only 2 hours drive from Johannesburg.
There is a landing strip situated at the back of the Estate. It is a 700m-grassed strip.
The heli-pad is situated in the front of the estate.
The GPS co-ordinates are S25*39,45.9 and E030*09'74.6.
Directions
N4 to Witbank, then on to Belfast. Continue along N4.
Options:
12km past Belfast at Winnaarspoort turn left, continue 2km on dirt road, turn right at fork, continue on dirt road for 5km until Kloppenheim sign on left.
Continue along N4, pass first entrance to Machadodorp, travel for 1 km until dirt road on left indicating Dullstroom. Turn left, and travel for about 6km until 4-ways crossing. Turn left & continue for 3km until you reach Kloppenheim on right.

Kloppenheim Country Estate is an ideal venue for a business conference. It is merely 2 hours drive from Johannesburg International Airport, close to Machadodorp off the main route (N4) to the Kruger National Park. Kloppenheim brings old-world charm, attention to detail and pampering to discerning guests wanting a reclusive retreat in an ambience reminiscent of a stately highlands theme in a climate renown for its cold, misty winters and crisp summers.

Kloppenheim Country Estate has already established a reputation for outstanding cuisine. The well–appointed kitchen is fast making a name for its gourmet delights. The menus, although seasonal driven with a mixture of international influences, still retain a strong emphasis on traditional dishes.
Breakfast, which is served in the enclosed terrace overlooking breathtaking views, is a sumptuous affair with loads of local fruit, on-site baked goodies, oats - all complimented by a cooked special of the day.
Lunch is served from the downstairs pub and concentrates on light but hearty meals, with trout dishes.
The Three Twigs Country Restaurant
Dinner is a choice between the A la Carté menu or a glamorous four-course affair, where guests are spoilt with a feast of flavours and a treat of tastes in Kloppenheim’s 60-seater formal dining room – The Three Twigs. The elegant dining room provides an intimate atmosphere where you will feel completely at home. The meals prepared by our chefs will make your visit to kloppenheim an unforgettable experience! For more private functions you can enjoy the tranquility of the private dining room. Meals are prepared in the most modern, well-equipped kitchen that can serve up to 150 meals at one sitting.

Wine Cellar
The wine cellar is the Estate’s Aladdin’s Cave - filled with local and imported magic! Designed along the lines of the traditional vinoteque, it has the capacity for 6000 bottles and stores many of South Africa’s favourites, as well as concentrating on the new boutique estates. It also houses a careful selection of international wines and specialises in bringing you the pride of South Africa’s port industry. Speak to our resident cellar master for a personalised wine tasting experience.
Relaxing
The cosy oak panelled library opens onto a sunny private courtyard and features a selective book collection and magazines, which you can peruse at your leisure on one of the leather couches.
The large, formal lounge of the Estate is decorated in colonial period furniture and overlooks the lake and countryside. A baby grand piano is often a gathering spot for musical ensembles.
The Teddy and Tankard pub is a casual and warm meeting place to chare a drink or tale with friends, or watch a rugby or cricket match on the big screen. Light meals are served in the pub, which is open until 10 o’clock at night. On cold misty days, a roaring fire is lit and friends can enjoy board games in the pub.
